Ok, so this is the first article posted in English as I saw that this problem didn’t have a cause or a solution on Microsoft’s Technet forum.
Problem description: Windows 7 stops the loading phase during the logo startup. So the logo keeps playing, but that’s the only thing the computer is doing at the moment, and it lasts until you unplug your power source. All in all, the problem is that your computer simply freezes.
Problem cause which I discovered: There are a lot of USB devices installed on my laptop (MSI), and some of them might contain an error which stops Windows 7 from loading as planned. So, when Windows cannot load a driver, it keeps retrying. If the device plugged in the USB device is not recognised, Windows keeps searching untill it stops, and so will the loading phase. Therefore you will only see the windows logo sparkling, but no progress made in the actual loading process.
Problem solution: It’s really easy once you’ve discovered the cause or the source of the problem. You’ll just have to unplug all your USB devices, restart your computer and keep pressing F8 key to enter the advanced boot menu. There you will have to choose „Last known good configuration” and hit enter. Your computer should start properly.
After that you can plug in your USB devices, but remember that this problem could appear again the next time you’ll restart your computer. So, for that matter, try updating your drivers, operating system, or just buy a product certified for Microsoft’s needs and stuff.
